It's the Muppets

  • John Denver in the Muppet show

John performed in the Muppetshow in 1979. The main issue in the show was a camping trip John would do with the Muppets, which came true a few years later in the TV-movie 'Rocky Mountain Holiday'.
In the show John sung two songs: The Garden Song and Grandma's Feather Bed and was assisted by some of the Muppets doing those songs.
Because the camping trip was was planned, everyone was very exited, including miss Piggy. John had to tease her by telling about the alligators she might meet in the swap. You see a part of their discussion on the right.

John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together
A savior King was born that day, a baby just like you
And as the Magi came with gifts, I've come with my gift too
That peace on earth fills up your time, that brotherhood surrounds you
That you may know the warmth of love, and wrap it all around you
It's just a wish, a dream I'm told, from days when I was young
Merry Christmas little Zachary, Merry Christmas everyone!
